He’s Named After a President

Let’s start with his humble beginnings. Cristiano Ronaldo was the youngest child in a family of four and is the youngest child. Ronaldo’s parents are gardener Jose and domestic worker Dolores Maria. While they may appear to have been the perfect family, his father Jose used to be a heavy drinker and died when he was 50. As for his mother, Cristiano has a great love and appreciation for her. Her love for the city of Madrid is why Ronaldo eventually developed a passion for it.

Something that you may not know is that Cristiano’s father was a big fan of Ronald Reagan and ended up naming Cristiano, full name Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, after the former U.S. president.

Little Bee

While growing up, Cristiano Ronaldo had several nicknames. This includes “crybaby” and “little bee” when he was once younger. The first is because Ronaldo was not a fighter and discovered his aggression on the pitch. Meanwhile, the second nickname is because Ronaldo was once so quick when playing soccer.

Problem Child

When he was 14 years old, Ronaldo threw a chair at a teacher. This led to him getting expelled. It was once at that point that Ronaldo’s mom instructed him to focus on soccer instead of causing trouble. Lucky for soccer fans across the globe, he ended up taking that advice.

Funchal, Portugal, his birthplace, has a museum dedicated to the athlete and his life. The museum is loaded with so many different things that include uncommon photos, trophies, and awards that he’s gained over the years. Online betting enthusiasts love it, as do soccer fans from around the globe.

While Cristiano Ronaldo’s long listing of exes includes names like Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian, the well-known athlete settled down and grew to become a household man. There is some gossip about Ronaldo’s first-born child, Cristiano Jr. When he was born, people tried to figure out who the mother was. Some believed the mother was a surrogate.
